End of the excavation of line 2 of Tabriz’s urban train
After a year of continuous effort, Tabriz’s urban train line 2 came to the end and all TBM excavation equipment were taken out from its underground track successfully.
According to ISNA report, after the first station’s excavation finished last year, the excavation processes of line 2 intensified and got to the station number 2 by six hundreds of executive and engineering staff’s attempt at a depth of 40 meters underground during a year.
The diameter of this excavation is ten meters and two bilateral ways applied in parallel.
3.5 kilometers of underground track of line 2 have been excavated with all infrastructure principles considerations and due to the two successful station excavation performances, it is expected the executive operation and excavation of other stations get followed up more quickly by considering few distances between each other.
Tabriz’s subway line 2 is one of the longest subway tracks with the length of 22.4 kilometers. This line involves twenty stations which starts from Gharamalek lands (organic fertilizer factory), stretches through Vahdat street and Gharamalek square (first station) and after passing under the Akhuni street, Qods street, Amin three ways, Daneshsara square, enters to Abbasi street and continues to Shahid Fahmideh square and in the following to Valiasr three ways, Ostad Moein square, finally ends by reaching Basij square.
