Metro Rail work on Anna Salai to resume soon
he Chennai Metro Rail work along Anna Salai is all set to resume soon, nearly a year after it came to a grinding halt following the contractors inability to carry out the work.
The new contract to complete underground tunnelling work between Government Estate to AG-DMS has been given to Afcons Infrastructure Limited, sources said.
10-month deadline
“It was finalised last week soon after the elections. The tunnelling work has to be finished in 10 months. The work will start in a few weeks as man power has to be organised and the equipment have to be recommissioned,” an official said.
